If it is auto/car software then probably the best place to ask would be the garage section. someone may know how to edit it or might be able to direct you to a version of the software which does not have the modified text
try making a post in here.
I'm not quite sure that is the right section but you will get more help for auto software in the garage section

What sort of extension has your file got?....I'm no expert but I think you're trying to edit binary... I think they are binary symbols(which represent a group of binary digits)
I remember about 10yrs ago when I was into roms and emulators, and every so often on the forums you always had these sort of questions asking how to edit the game bin file as they could be opened up in a text editor.and were nothing but jibberish symbols and people were looking to try and change things in games hoping to make things like textures and characters change and stuff in a geeky sort of way.. in which case no one had a clue how to do it. Although some geeky smart people did know and hacked the binary in certain games to change things like characters being ballack naked and other crap like that.
I think you need a software engineer or something to work out what all them symbols represent.. thats all code thats been compiled into something, and you're opening it in a text editor and looking at the raw code of it.
That's what I think it may be... but maybe I wrong of courseLast edited by Sirus; 5 March, 2011, 00:14.Comment

What hex editor have you used?
You should have two windows left and a small one on the right, just try using search and enter the text beware it might be case sensitive, then edit using the right window then save it.Comment
