Whats a good secondhand laptop to buy?

I need to upgrade my old laptop and looking to buy a secondhand one. Can anyone advise me on what brand/model would be half decent as got caught out in the past as dont understand the tech. stuff. Need 2 GB memory and 120 gb harddrive, rest dont have a clue but current one is slow as tortoise so got to go.

Tried other sites but all commercial reviews whereas I would rather have user reviews to get the truth.

Budget: under ?150 - only know no Acer's.

What do you use your current laptop for?

Netbook could be a good choice but the usual sites such as ebay and gumtree are the places i would look.

The main thing I would look for is a decent processor as yu can always upgrade RAM and hard disk. If you could maybe stretch it to just over ?200 you may be able to get an ex display one.

I use it mainly for documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and Internet Browsing - can have a lot of docs on there at once.

I really wanted a reliable one but have never heard of the brand Lenovo - who makes it and are spares available. I have found upgrading ram and hardrive can cost over ?100 which is why I am looking to buy another one but I may be wrong and I cant do it myself so have to pay to get it done as well.

Problem I have found with Argos is that you get absolutely no support at all and their customer care leaves a lot to be desired - unless your lucky and have no problem but laptops can be so risky even when brand new.

Lenovo is IBM. They stopped branding their aptops as IBM and changed to lenovo, dont know why.

Ram and hard disk arent hard to change and also ram can be pretty inexpensive along with a hard drive.

Not sure about good sites to buy second hand ones though.
