passive or active 3d tv

has anyone got any knowledge about tv's
have you got a passive or active what would you say is the best

I don't have one but I've watched a few.. In my experience the best 3D TV's are the one where you use the Sky 3D glasses and not those electronic one.. so passive get's my vote..
the quality is slightly lower but you dont have the annoying flicker every 3 seconds that you get with active.. Watched a ?4000 Sony 3D TV recently, the flicker was awful

thanks mate went to currys today had a demo from a 50 inch passive and was awesome
but way out my price range seen a active 50 inch for ?700 but was active obviosly the glasses for active are about ?50 each wasnt realy bothered about that bought the more i learn the more i'm thinking of passive but think there way more money

think i'm there lads i've decided on the LG 47LW550T 47
it comes with 7 pairs of glasses
now to find the cheepest deal anyone heard of viking-direct
just under ?1000

viking direct are a good firm and been going for years. i used to deliver office stuff for them when i worked for parcelforce, didn't know they did tv's, sounds a good deal

Its 47LW450U so slightly newer model same spec I suppose not paid attention. Worth a look. 7 glasses included & u can use the ones from the cinema also on these TVs

to late now mate its being delivered tommorow cant wait the one i've ordered is the LG 47LW550T 47
in comet there doing the LG 47LW650T 47 which is ?1200

so all in all thats aboutright
all i need now is my 3d bouquets for the dm800
