what you are saying is that you have a stand alone blu-ray player which you can attach a portable hd to and you want to copy a blu-ray disc to the same hd, if the above is correct then the answer is no.
you need a pc with a blue- ray player or rewriter optical drive fitted then you can install software that will rip the disc and put it on the hd.

download and install the following software which is free then you can rip the disc to the hd but remember that the copy will take up a lot of hd space.

also try anydvd get it on a trial and see how you go , the other thing you need to look at is the size of the hdd as blu-ray rip can come in at 20+ GB as side aboveplease press the little red THANKS tab
