tv dvd combi problems

i hav an alba tv dvd combi - bought from argos - the dvd player hasnt worked from abt 2 months after i bought it and although i havnt really been fussed with it not workin im now wonderin if any1 has experienced the same thing and if so is there a simple way of fixing it?

common issue with a few makes,dont buy combined,buy separates.

issue happens alot with the combined tv's dont know why but just in future dont buy one the dvd player will most likely not last the lifetime of the TV, not even close.
