    scratched tv screen

    can a badly scrathched tv screen on a lg 38" lcd be repaired or replaced if so does anyone have any idea what the cost would be

    would have thought it would be cheaper to buy a new tv as you can get them pretty cheap now anyway m8

      You could try 'Jewellers Rouge' for light surface scratches but if you can feel them with your nail then don't waste your time.

              The scratch was done by burglars that couldn't carry it so decided to destroy it and also pi$$ and $hit all over the furniture . It is being replaced by the insurance company but i have been asked if it can be repaired and if so it could then be given to a neighbour who can't afford to replace his old tv. Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my original post

                If the sratches are deep no go. If they are fine try tcut OR toothpaste. Toothpaste is a fine abrasive. I've used it on a mobilepnone screen and CD/DVD's. Takes time but I was amazed. Note: not the gel type
