Denon Turntable

Not sure if this post belongs but let's see.

I came across a Denon turntable with an SME arm. I am wondering if anyone knows about this table and can advise me on what to look for before purchasing.

It is a much older one but a beautiful one. It is the one that looks like a flying saucer but is mounted in a wood cabinet or plinth. It is direct drive with tape heads to sync the speed.

I am not sure how much it is worth in the states and I heard that if the strobe is off at all to not bother with it.

Any info would be great.

Don't know about the turntable without the model number for reference, but any SME arm, whatever the vintage is worth serious money.
