PHILIPS LED TV SWITCHING OFF AND ON

after watching the tv for 1.30min approx, the philips 46pfl7605 /05 switches off and on and then it does this approx every 5mins.

The tv also shows double picture whilst watching the tv.

I took this down to the tv repairs, they checked the capacitors but it wasn't that either, they said they checked the tv but couldnt find anything. They then did a factory reset and it starting working, when I brought it back home, I changed the settings to hd standard and then it started doing the same thing. I don't know what the problem is.

Please can anyone help???

If you have any hdmi devices connected try disconecting them, they can have compatability issues between devices and could be telling the tv to turn off, something to try? Another problem if seen simular to this was when a computer was connected to the tv (via vga) causing it to do strange things, changing the refresh rate on the video card solved the problem

just a quick question regarding the refresh rate, the example you have given was of a computer connected to tv but with my tv its with both sky and computer connected to the tv.

when you say refresh rate? can I change the refresh rate on the tv or is this with connected devices.

The screen refresh rate I had to change was on the computer, at 60hz the screen would black out from time to time, I changed it to 70 hz and was ok after that.
