On my home network i have a GIGABIT wireless "N" router and a GIGABIT SWITCH. in my room i have the SWITCH which connects my PC, WDTV LIVE HUB and my HTPC. My PC and HTPC are running GIGABIT PCI Cards and my WDTV LIVE HUB has onboard GIGABIT. i cant get files to transfer between these devices over 14MB/s. i also just replaced my cat5 cables with cat6. Any ideas people.. Thankx in advance..

That aint good, thats not much more than you would expect through a 100mb network.. Is this max transfer speed what you see between PC and HTPC? Is it definately a gigabit switch? Is it a crappy cheapo switch? Is there a break in one of your cables twisted pairs making it fall back to 100mb? -

Right, transfer speeds to and from my PC, NAS and HTPC are around 35MB but transfer speeds to and from my WDTV LIVE HUB are around 15MB. Any ideas people..??Comment
