SAMSUNG 40" LCD TV LE40A559P4F

hello,anyone got idea what causes this to above tv.one half of the screen is ok -left side as look at it, the other half is tinted yellow, both sides like someone has drawn a line down middle.sometimes the yellow tint will get normal colour with just blotches of yellow splattered about.is this the inverter,or more to it,if inverter,great as can get one for ?30 incl delivery.thanks ray.

It dont sound like the inverter m8 although i could be wrong and it wouldnt be the first time,if the inverter goes the screen comes on but is so dark its unwatchable....................

might also be backlight,but again dont know if backlight can go on 1 side,dont know if relevent tv was ok till after onebox connected.but again cant see that as problem,just prob time to go,and it went,

thanks another problem to look at,found the boards plenty to buy range from ?20 to ?40,and found vid on youtube to fix.might just start with tcon board at ?20+del. still cheaper than getting repair guy out ?37 just to call out.

just found out,3yr slapped tv screen at time it busted,just wondering if possibly has loosend a ribbon connector or such like.

I would think lcd screen damaged rather than loose ribbon these screens are very delicate. But without seeing picture of what you are looking at it's hard to make a positive diagnosis. Electricity always remains in back of tv even when switched off. High voltage.
