Hooking up old surround sound to new tv

Was wandering if anyone could help me

Used to have the old big fat TVs that weigh a ton, it used to be attached to 4 speakers (2 large and 2 small) using bare wire connection into clips at the back of the TV. Recently bought a flat screen LG tv and wanted to know if there was anyway this could be hooked up with the old sound system?

Not unless your new tv has the same connections m8 and welcom to D-K................

if its a home cinema there may be a way but i would not use a tv for surround sound,better thru an amp.
