I don't remember what software I used, I think it was one of the drive clone utilities on the Hirens boot cd 14.0.
when you clone the drive make sure you are copying the good one to the bad and not the other way or you will have 2 bad units.
What I did was put the working drive as Master and the faulty drive as slave, change pc bios to Boot from the cd (hirens cd)
I think I booted into minixp, choose hbcd menu, Programs,Backup, CloneDisk...Disk <-> Disk pick source and Destination and Clone.
I think thats what i did?

Right I sorted it, what done was buy another one the same off ripoffbay for 10 quid, well it was 9.99 + postage and its all working well
