    polarity how to find it

    i have got a portable dvd player pet700 i have lost the in car adapter bought one at halfords but its lookin for the polarity of the player cant find it not on player or manual tryed philips web side no joy any one assist

    With almost all electrical gadgets the adaptor plug is usually always wired with + on the center core, and - on the outer core..

      does that mean i set my car adapter to minus then connect to my dvd player

            nibblitz .its a halford variable voltage charger 6 voltag settings, 12 adaptors , imput voltage 12v -24v output voltage 3v -12v. rj dont understand drawing .i checked web site no mention of polarity, i think the adapter is a nuisence for it tells you check the polarity of every appliance that you wish to charge.
