Television - No Aerial Socket

I have an aerial socket for television in my lounge. However I want a television in my bedroom and kitchen but there is not an aerial socket in either room. I use a freeview box in the lounge. How can I get a signal to the kitchen and bedroom without having to run cable and drill holes? Thanks

The only way you'll get TV aerial freeview signal to kitchen & bedrooms is to run cable to them... A wireless AV sender will allow you to transmit the video output from the lounge freeview box to another tv, but then you'll be watching the same channel on both TV's..

If you live very close to the TV broadcast transmitter then you might be lucky enough to be able to use a little indoor TV aerial next to each TV. But most often they are crap for such purpose.

Hi. I have set up several sat receivers for people to watch sat tv in different rooms using video senders with Magiceye function to change sats and channels from different rooms. They work a treat but can cost a bit. Not too sure about Freeview but a good option for you is to buy two Freeview boxes from Ebay etc and stick them on the spare tv's. This will save you on cables. drilling etc and you can watch whatever channel you like. As already mentioned you might be able to use indoor aerials .

Ummm, the boxes would still each need a signal feed from the aerial, drilling and cabling will be required.

Bedroom is easy enough, you can normally just drop a coax down through cieling from a split in the loft, but kitchen will probably need drilling through walls, unless you tack cable along skirting and go through door frames..

Hi. If you get two indoor aerials you wont need any drilling anywhere. You could always try one to see if it works and then buy the second one. I know a number of people who use Freeview boxes with indoor aerials and work fine.

true story with the new digital saorview crap in ireland
ya can get good signal on a piece of coax by just stripping the rubber shielding off the coax and separate the light wire mesh and tinfoil
then strip off the sponge thing and keep separated will take a picture tomorrow of the finished product just need about a foot or two of cable works the same as an indoor aerial

found a pic just strip a bit more of the centre copper wire

found this out the other day when i was installing an antenna in me attic stripped the wires like this then came back down to get the aerial and noticed the tv ~~~~ing working

what happens if something gets shorted out=cigar lighter ,try to do things right and hopefully every thing works.
