I actualy went for 3 sets of sumvision cyclone micro 3's all 8gb ones in white. Needed to pass them down to family members and i really find them to be such brilliant little things. I ended up putting my spare sky hdd 500gb 3.5 in a external caddy and then powered it via the plug and connected it to my micro 3 and the rest i connected them with usb's .UPDATED - The himedia 900b i looked into it on varios search site etc and there are so many like it function wise for cheaper.

Hi skyla did u try the himedia ? It look a good bit of kit. I have a boxee and is very good but I want another media player but don't want pay 120 notes ha or any recommends that plays anything ?

If you want it just for viewing movies and pictures and listening to music Honestly buy the sumvision cyclone micro 3 it plays anything i havent tried iso movie files yet i dont think it does isos but everything else i have tested and works without any freezes and plays smoothly honestly. Mkv, avi, mp4, etc works perfect. I watched a .h264 movie hidef and played really good on it. You will need a usb flash drive and highest sd card it can read is 32gb and it does have either a 8gb or 16gb depending on which one you buy internal storage capacity. The remote is decent also get the white colour because you can see the button labels on the remote and with the black version the remotes blak and has dark blue writting which is hard to read. I also attatched a 500gb external hdd powered through the mains and it picked it up no problem. I never tried the himedia 900b i dont want to spend that much money on it i think its way to much at the moment in price for what your getting so i stayed clear of the himedia plus i think there releasing a newer one with a better processor next year. Hope i helped.

Im not sure about 3d i never really looked into it. Goggle is the best place to find that out.

Make sure its a sumvision cyclone micro 3
There is a sumvision cyclone micro and a sumvision cyclone micro 2 i brought the 3rd model just to let you know works brilliant.

Just to let you know it can take up to a max 64gb usb
32gb sd card and then any size external storage HDD i have a 500gb on mine
