    Media Player Problem

Hello kids, I'm not bragging or owt but I own a Sumvision Cyclone Primus Media Player with a 2tb HDD.

My problem started last night whilst watching some sh*t or other on said device.
Halfway through the programme the box reset to the menu screen and point blank refused to register the HDD after numerous attempts.
Nor will it register when I plug it into the pc via USB.
The drive clicks a bit but that appears to be the only signs of life.

Clearly it appears that the problem lies with the HD rather than the enclosure.

What I would like, in an ideal world, is knowledge pertaining to the possibilty thereto of salvaging the 1tb of media that currently exists on this HDD that I've been going on about.

take it apart, take out hdd, hook it up to pc direct. if you havent got spare sata cables, take them from the back of dvd drive. if windows sees it, all good. if not, then its new drive time

If you prise open the hdd drive lots of DVD's will come out, then choose which ones you want and take the rest to Age Concern with your foot massager and soda stream.
