ALBA FREEVIEW DVD TV

hi does anyone know what the problem might be i have just recently bought a Alba 19 inch tv dvd combi from argos on thursday, i tuned it all in including my video tried and it worked fine it recorded of tv aswell until yesterday it stopped playing and recording of the video it just keeps coming up with this message saying no signal please contact argos on a 0845 number no way price of 0845s , i have still got the tv still working all the channels are working great its when i press play on the video i get this message appear saying no signal please contact argos on a 0845
i have checked the scart lead and thats fine .
i would be really greatful if anyone could help thankyou

no im just using a aerial which you put on top of tv i havent got cable feed its my dads tv he hasnt got cable were he is .
