connect the xbox to the router and then go to music or video and select the computer to play the file from
this should give u a folder name if it works and then what u do is go find that folder on ur laptop which will problery be in my documents folder

Server Using the Microsoft? Windows? 7 Operating System this works with sony devices and it will be the same for xbox with the extender skyla20. good luckComment

I have used many solutions but they may not apply to your TV or Computer.
I have a Samsung 3D TV with many TV input options, including HDMI. In the old days I used even the serial port entry, the same way that you would make your PowerPoint presentations at meetings. Then I used HDMI, including from iPad.
Now the best is to use Apple TV. The box costs less than 100 euros (80 pounds). The HDMI output of this box connects to the TV. You will send via wifi anything you want to watch to Apple TV and you watch it on the TV. It works with iPhone and iPad as well. I even watch the live football streaming from laptop on large screen TV.
If you have a Mac, it is very simple, but it should work with PCs as well.Comment
yes played online with a dongle on xbox
