new panasonic tv can anyone help with connecting my surround sound as it has rca connection and the new tv is optical audio no other output all input
it has 1 scart 2 hdmi and 1 set of 3 video in 1 set of 2 audio in
tried ear to rca no sound
tried scart to rca no sound

if you had a sat box you would use an optical lead to amp to get the 5-1,dont think you can get it on the tv.
on the tv is it optical out? it sounds like your old sound system is outdated having only rca ports.

probaly 4 years old no dvd player eithere if linked to dm box wont work on freeveiw

i think you can by a optical to left and right audio lead may help you ..

optica out to home theatre system then prob aux on your surround sound ..i think

thanks but went back to comet as its closing down and got a new panasonic soundbar for ?149 good deal as there ?249 in panasonic store so thanks for all the help
