Sony or Panasonic?

I am in the market for a new blu ray 3d home cinema 5.1 system. There are many on the market at various prices. I have approx ?300 to spend.
Previously it has always been Sony for me but lately I've been hearing they are overpriced and the quality isn't as good as it used to be. I still think they look nicer than the others though.
So is Sony still one of the best brands? Is the quality still good? Are Panasonic, Samsung as good if not better?
Give your opinions please, I don't knw who to buy.

imo sony and panny about on a level par still good stuff, i dont think you can go wrong with either, ive always been a sony man myself and will continue buying their products, tho would consider panny, as for sammy imo shite

I want to watch my blu ray films with a good quality system. I want to put my sky HD thro it also. And I stream films thro my Xbox. It's gonna b hard not to buy Sony, they look great and I've never had a problem with them. will never get samung, but if panny are better quality I wud definately consider
