help with wd hd tv media player

hi all ive got a wd hd tv box and its a good bit of kit, but it wont play dts sound its ok with ac3 , ive been told i need to run it through a dvd player that has optical in.... not out, does anyone know of anything out there that would do the job ?

To be honest
I thought about a WD HD player
But instead decided against it as their firmware updates and support is very poor
Check out the X-TREAMER
Supports all file types including DD HD DTS HD MKV H.264 etc.
Far better firmware and support plus connected to the E-TRAYZ with 4TB storage makes a fantastic solution
My PS3 can also play certain media stored on the network

wdtv has no DTS support they did not pay for the licensing, you will have to route it through a multi channel receiver
