    Sound control through SPDIF

    I've recently upgrade my HTPC.
The new motherboard came with SPDIF and for me it was a better solution to transfer digital audio to the receiver.
So I connect with the cable to the receiver (It dosen't have HDMI) And the sound work great now.
Ac3 DTS and Dolby digital (through ac3filter)
The only problem that I have is that Audio control on the media software (bsplayer and MPC-HC) is not working anymore.
I can control the volume only through the receiver.

    Any help would be appreciated

    S\.

    BTW
    OS is windows 7

This is totally guess work so don't slate me off for this, but, you are send the digital signal and that is it, the signal is then amplified etc thru the amp. It is just the signal.
Does the mute work on your PC? ie stop the signal going thru.

That answer looks a right mess.
