What is the best way to transfer your old LP records to your pc with a view to transfer to ipod,

i use musicmatch jukebox m8 set it to line in recording, run a jack lead from your hi fi headphone socket to your line in on pc or you could buy one of those usb turntables they are about ?50 from maplins etc .
