Virgin modem + Router

Hi i am looking to swap my broadband scientfic atlanta modem and linkys wireless router for a virgin combind one. Virgin want ?75 but i have seen them cheaper on ebay do they have to be activated or can i just plug the modem lead in to the combined unit and surf on

they are managed by virgin media m8 / they activate them and maintain them from there end / you need a virgin broadband account to use combined virgin modem/router

Im all set up with a virgin account have been for years if thats the case then i take it will work

Do not buy from ebay or anywhere else except virgin.

Modem side won't work until virgin activate it for your account which they won't do unless they supplied it.
