splitting cat cable

i have a cat6 point in the bedroom i use for pc and am thinking of buying a sat reciever soon. can i just use them cat5e splitters on ebay or shall i just run another cable

you could use a hub for lan and just have the one cable to router/modem
not 100% sure if cat 5 and cat 6 are interchangeable

you can buy a 100mb switch for around 6 or 7 quid off play or amazon.

If you want upgrade that to 1gb then that will be around 15 quid.

i ran another cable from switch. i got router and switch in the loft

just buy as switch or hub instead, much easier.
