Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3 Connection drop offs

Is there anyone familiar with this router?
The Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3. It continually drops off connection every so often and I am trying to configure it to stop.

It seems to be a well known issue with this router.

if it's a known issue, i'd lookout for a firmware update addressing the problems

This router was issued by an ISP to take advantage of ADSL2+. Any firmware update is usually customised by them. Unbelievablely they are denying any issue exists even do forums are full of complaints.

I would love to erase the rom and install an update from Zyxel website
