belkin password help

i have a belkin n1 wireless router but could'nt get cd to work in pc ,so dont no how to put pass code in to link up with laptop, wii and to stop others using my connection thanks for any help

go to the belkin website bud and email them your problem they will email you straght back with a link,it takes you to ther site and your router page you just put your own pass word in and set the firewall on router ect then type the same passwords on your laptops and phones that use wireless lan ect,hope this helps you out.PS make sure you are hard wired to the router on the pc that you do what i said above,once you done that you will be wireless and nobody can hop on your router,this is what i did and took 2 mins when they emailed me the link.http://192.168.2.1/

all routers can be hard reset mate... am sure there will be a reset switch at the back.

once you done the hard reset you can re configure the router again mate

With Netgear if you have the CFG file which is the backup file on the hdd you can use that and open with notepad... scroll down and it tells you the password

yo configure the router you need to open your web browser and type in on the address bar

http://192.168.2.1/

then on security settings entar a passphraze, this will generate a security key which you then enter into your devices that your connecting to the network

People seem to be confused on this one.. It appears that the wifi passphrase is the question not the main router logon details.

If your CD does not work in your PC , you should get that looked at at some point.. but for now start by having a read of the belkin support page for your product..
