    Gigabit transfer speeds

    ive got a NAS with a Gigabit lan connection and a Gigabit PCI card in my tower. What speeds should i be getting transfering large files from 1 to the other. i have a GIGABIT ROUTER. IM getting speeds of 35/40MBs.. Cheers for your help guys..!!

    Them speeds are pretty good... It'll be your hard disks max sustained transfer rate...

      I was lucky to get 15 MB/s on my old Synology CS407e, but I get 90 MB/s+ on my QNAP TS-259+. I think the CPU limits transfer speeds too.
