    sharing files from win7 to vista

    Hi guys this is really doing my brain in now years ago with xp sharing my files from 1 pc to another were so easy heres where i'm at

    i have a wireless laptop running vista home i also have a desktop running windows 7

    when i try to map folders on the desktop it shows the files but as soon as i go into the folder it says i dont have permission i've tried to turn off all security on the desktop but still cant connect
    any ideas

    put anything that you want to share between the pcs into public folders that is the way i overcame the security problem.

      Exactly create shared folder and use IP or name of the comp. to find it and browse it.

      Or option 2 if u have newer router it should support smb so you can pop in your USB drive and have small network attached storage
