    Wireless Bridge

After being given a Netgear WNR2000v2 router, i decided to see if i could use it as a wireless bridge to connect my dm500 and my xbox upstairs to my router downstairs.

after updating fw to the recommended DD-WRT, i set about trying to accomplish this.. but.. for some reason i cant do it.

this is how i want to set up, BT homehub 3 downstairs connected to web. dreambox and xbox upstairs connected to wnr2000 router, wnr2000 router connected via wifi to bt homehub..
has anybody any experience of this and can give me a joey deacon, step by step, hand holding, spoon feeding tutorial on how to get the ~~~~er working?
    thanx in advance

Well this looked like a good question, Shady, as i wanted to know how to set up an old netgear to make a bridge from where my sat receiver lives in the lounge to where my router lives in the study.
Did you get that easy to follow tutorial or did you just figure it out for yourself?
It would be useful though to know how you did it.

PS I can't understand why there are no freesat receivers on the market with wifi connectivity. They're all ethernet (except azboxs etc which arn't freesat) which means having to use a mains/ethernet device.

i had to use custom f/w from dd-wrt on my router to get it to work.. once that was on, it was plain sailing

          wireless problem

i have a 4 storie house and struggle to get my vonets wireless bridge to pick up my wireless router.
it cannot be moved because of the incoming cable and lan connections' i read a few places on the internet about adding another wireless router to your own router heres how i done it .

I added a long extension lan cable to the lan of the wireless router then plugged it in to my new router to the lan not wan then to test it i plugged my computer into the lan also and yes i had internet conection.

But my problem now is the internet keeps locking up it will have good signal but no internet its wierd can anyone help
