Bricked Linksys Wireless Router, due to own mistake :(

I have to be honest tried to be to clever for my own boots. to upgrade and make my router with the "DD-WRT" firmware. The only reason I did this was because the signal towards my PS3 was really less .

Anyways the power light does not light up, There are step by step instructions posted online which I've follwed but still can't seem to do it!! Literally spent the whole of yesterday trying to get the router to work.

    Router name is: Linksys Wrt54gs, V 7.

    Please help

This happend to me but my power light was blinking. Tried everything on the net but eventually had to open the router and short out 2 pins on the flash chip, then telnet the firmware in.

You should be able to find out which pins to short on your model with a google search.

Before you do that read this page, it's step by step instructions to unbrick your model of router.

Thanks but I really can't be bothered opening up the router! I have been at it since the weekend and most of today evening. I can easily purchase a new router, but I know it can be done! The internet light flashes so it is being recieved however the router homepage and power light does not?
