Sorry about the abysmal drawing, but I'm considering getting my entire house wired up, with cat6 and tx100 cablle, using trunking to take it along

I'd hope to also get the modem, in the room where the router is. It's an ADSL modem and it has a port downstairs, however I've heard it's possible to send it upstairs, using some cat6 cabling.
Would I have to take the modem upstairs, attach a cat6 cable, with an RJ45 connection on one side, and an RJ11 connection on the other side? - It connects in to a filter, which is attached to the landline
It's an O2 router, modified to act as a modem only, so it has like 4 ports available - one which will connect to the router
