    Router help

Hi wondering if somebody could help me, wifi has, been dropping like a prozzies knickers lately. Was like it before then I updated the f/w and changed the channel to a clear one.
I have an old sky router netgear router but when I connect that instead of my current one (Thomson)
I get some green lights but can't get onto the internet. I can connect to it over wifi.
    I reset it
But I can't log into it to have a look at the settings
I've tried ipconfig but when I type the IP into IE it just timeouts as it can't get on the internet
How can I log into it?

Google the make & model for the default userid & password and try using that to access the config page.

google as c123 has advised.the mac for the old router maybe blocked by isp ,if you do get the page up the wifi pass will be differant to the cat5 router pass .the usual is /ADMIN /admin .the thing with bt & other bt line backed isp's usually use & by design have the router combined as a modem .good luck clone the mac address
