how connecting 2 PCs?

hi can anyone help me

main pc (windows 8)

old laptop (windows xp) <-- wanna connection to it throw router so it can be like NAS storage for me so i send my extra file to it i use it as media server

both PCs on same router and they all got internet throw it perfectly

You could just set some folder shares with read/write permissions on the laptop and browse them via network, or map a drive to the Laptops c$

If you want your Laptop to actually be an outright NAS server then google FREENAS and see if thats suitable for you.
