repeater problems

Hi i bought a huawei ws320 wireless repeater and connected ok to my bt home hub(black)

I plugged my wireless repeater in upstairs and it extends my wireless grand

my problem is that my phone/laptop etc wont connect to the main router downstairs now

has anyone came across this, any help would be great

Reboot

Have you tried a reboot (unplug power, count to ten and plug back in) on your router? Some times they need to be reset after new device is added.

Hi yeah tried it at the time didnt work, tried it again there now works perfect, weired broadband

hi after about 30 mins it doesnt work downstairs again, it works grand on the laptop, its just my phone that wont connect, it says obtaining ip address but wont go any further

See what type of connection you have enabled...
I would recommend Auto since sometimes if it is setup on 802.11n some mobile phones have difficulty connecting...

So you can try B,G,N or auto option...
