Netgear router configuration page?

I can access the configuration page for my router from my wireless laptop but the page is not found using the desktop PC connected to the router.
Can I upload new firmware to the router using the laptop and will this set up work with my Technomate 6900 with ethernet

yes but i would use a ethernet cable connection from your router to your laptop to update the firmware and not use wifi.

Hi There !!!
Talking about Netgear ... try this DGTeam - The Custom DG834XX Series Router Firmware Web Site
I tried it on my DG834 - G , it opened a lot of doors for my network.
They have custom firmware, But it works fine , make sure you performs a correct firmware update.
