connecting new modem

the kids have vm in there bedroom i was just wondering if i could plug in a modem so they can get on xbox live.I dont want to go down wireless as there getting a pc later in the year.thanks to whoever replies and happy new year.

If the connection is there plug it in. Although you will need to register the mac address of the modem with VM for it to work.

That said you are only allowed 1 modem in the house so if you have one elsewhere then this will not work after you register the other one.

thanks for your reply cg if i was able to get hold of another modem similar to the one ive got could i change the mac adress to the one i have..

In theory yes you could. But its a complicated process and cant be discussed on the forum.
