router problem

hi all,
i have been given a wireless router from a friend, its the one that vm supplied him, would anybody know how i could get this to work at my house. ive tried and failed..............

I presume you are on cable and not on ADSL?

Try reflashing it with the DD-WRT image, relevant to your router.

hi, just a warning, flashing dd-wrt onto your router will void its warranty. if you are happy with this, go ahead.

FYI. for me, i successfully flashed my dlink DIR-615 (C2).

I however also flashed my DIR-615 D2 succesfully with no issues.

thanks for your help. its all new to me this networking game but i got there in the end. not quite sure what i did exactly, but its working fine now, cheers
