    Hi,
if you are looking for metal plugs, well, I believe they don't exist as it would blow your card/modem/router since the plug will touch the pins, however I know that there are plugs bracked with metal bands but they will have still plastic over the pins and a plistic thingy to push to extract the plug from the port.
    cheers

        Hi
the picture shown in that website is a bit blury but still I believe they are not fully metal, you may need something like this:
RJ45 RJ-45 Cat5 5e Metal Modular Network Connector Plug on eBay (end time 15-Oct-10 10:24:36 BST)

they have this metal shield and are a bit stronger,

then you can go to a local shop and ask if they can fit it for you or buy this:
RJ45 RJ11 NETWORK CABLE CRIMP CRIMPER CRIMPING TOOL on eBay (end time 17-Oct-10 14:28:58 BST)

        this:

20M CAT5E RJ45 ETHERNET NETWORK LAN PATCH CABLE LEAD UK on eBay (end time 03-Nov-10 10:04:03 GMT)

        and this:

BLACK RJ45 Boot for Network / Patch Cables, Pack of 25 on eBay (end time 02-Nov-10 15:15:04 GMT)

        and make your own
(these links are just an example of what you can get)
        Hope this helps
        cheers

i'm not going to be much help but i don't recall ever seeing metal rj45's where the little tabs are metal. I've seen where the housing is metal for shielded cables but the tab part was still plastic.
thinking of the metal ones, i suspect over time, if it was metal, the tab part would still break off.
i beleive the best bet is what ashen suggested and get a crimp tool and a pack of head and just keep replacing the heads
            take care
