sky router

hi, ive got a sky router and when i try and connect up on my laptop it is saying it the wrong setting for this router.tried uninstalling it and reset the router cant get it to go.anyone got any ideas.also my pal has got virgin cable its saying connected but its not connecting to internet.cheers

dont know much about it mate but when i connected my laptop to router first
i needed a lan cable to conect laptop
and then set up a network with a password
for other laptops to use wirelessly

go in to the network settings and delete the connection , then reboot both , now make new connection and should be OK , i had this when i changed from wep to wep2 .
had on win7 and xp.
