    Port Forward Problem

    Hi guys,

my mate has a tp-link wr340g router and cant for the life of him open a port!

He's trying to port forward port 12000, he's been on portforward.com, has disabled firewall, setup virtual server but its still closed..

I've tried helping as much as I can but I'm stuck.. Any ideas would be great!

    Thanks

How about setting trying DMZ instead ?

Or can he enable remote management and you could look remotely ?

here is a guide on it *the setup part is near the bottom of the page*

          PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Utorrent on the TP-Link TL-WR340G

this is a tool called Port Checker

it's from the site that will check to confirm the port is open for you.

          it's simple to use.

there is also information about the tool and instructions on the link below if your curious about it.

PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

          hope it helps
