spare router as access point and repeater

    hi

my current wirless .... wired network has all 4 lan sockets used and i need some more wired conections
have a spare tp link wirless n router and am wondering if i could move this to another location in the house and use as a repeter to extend my network coverage range and then use the lan sockets as well for some non wifi items

    is this possible
    thanks

    Yes this is possible....
you need to plug your extension router directly into a pc and disable dhcp and give the spare router a static ip address
then use plug number 4 in your current router to plug number one in the spare router!
you can extend your wireless by using the same setup as your using now! on the spare router
then plug any ethernet into extension router and it will be given a ip address from your current router
i have 4 routers all wired to one with this method and its all fine
