    gerahtnginoo.com redirect bug?

I have a virus that redirects my searches. It goes to "gerahtnginoo.com" before sending me to a web page it wants me to view. The google logo is at the front of the address bar? I've tried all the cookie options including putting it on the barred list with no luck. Any ideas on how to get rid?

There's a redirecting nasty that is causing serious problems. My dad had an issue & ended up having to send logs to the guru of malwarebytes. Not sure if a solution was found, he just wiped a spare drive & installed a fresh XP until something or someone gets back to him.

If I remember I'll ask him about it next time I see him.

I've used malware bytes before, a good tool but I dont think you can run it online or from a memory stick which I prefer? I've put the site address on the barred list which appears to work but this is treating the symptom rather than the cause, I'd love to zap it if I new where it was hiding!

Spoke too soon. I ran MB last night, they now use 'ARO' for the free version. It did help speed but the bug is still there.

IObit's Advance SystemCare has spyware removal - you have to install it though.

Hiren's boot CD has antispyware and can be run from USB and live CD.
