laptop screen going pink dell 1520

hi all just trying to diagnose the problem,lcd screen as been going pink for few days and knew it was going to go soon anyways its gone now,from what i have looked up sounds like a back light problem but not 100%,ive wired my laptop up to my tv and it works ok no problems,so definately the laptop,any ideas am i right i need to replace backlight? is this expensive to replace and is it easy to do? does it involve soldering if so i cant do it how much should i expect to pay to get this done and how much to buy new backlight for dell inspiron 1520 any help welcome please tx stags

its a tricky job replacing a back light but the other thing u can do it read the model numbers off and buy a replacement screen

this is the fastest simplest solution

how much will that cost m8 any ideas? and have i diagnosed correct fault dont want to be buyinings till im 100% confident what the problem is,tx for your help

brand new screen off Ebay ?78 second hand may ?40 -?60


but if u know ur stuff and u can change the inverter if that has gone Ebay ?7

Also i was just reading up about ur model and some people are saying that the ribbon cable from video card could be the issue give it a wobble n try that 2
