Chew Patch Query ...

I have been using the Chew-Wga Patch for a while but today when I booted up I have the 'Not Genuine' message with links to M$ update etc ... I do not at the moment have the constant reminder in the bottom right corner.
My desktop keeps the icons but the background keeps reverting to black even though I have changed it several times.
Do I need to use another loader/patch or uninstall Chew and reinstall ?
Will I lose any programs/files if I do another patch install ?

Thanks for reply .. I used Daz which seems ok too ..

SP1 usually stops the patches working. You could of uninstalled CHEW, rebooted, then installed it again.
