    Locked out of admin

Hi, im wondering if anyone can help. I think my computer has a virus which has corrupted some of my drivers including the ones to my mouse. When i turn on the pc i can go into safe mode etc but once the home screen comes up with the user names, i cant get into admin as the mouses cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen. I know i can fix it by going into control panel and update drivers etc but cant get past the user screen. Ive tried tabbing down but that wont work either. Any help is greatly appreciated

Boot into live disc (Hirens etc), run virus checks, clear admin password, boot into Mini xp fix drivers etc.
Are you sure the mouse is not loose or faulty, have you tried a different mouse?

Have a quick browse, through the various categories in the menu, to familiarise yourself with the various tools.
Run Avira AV to test for nasties, then boot into Mini xp, here you can check drivers etc are all working/up to date.
Use NT password tools to remove admin pass.

Ive booted hirens etc and managed to update the drivers on both the keyboard and mouse. It says both are working properly yet the mouse just does not work. Ive tried another mouse and the same thing

USB or PS/2? Boot into bios, make sure legacy is enabled. (try system defaults if unsure)
If you haven't already try a different type of mouse. (ps/2 or usb)
If usb try uninstalling/reinstalling from minixp.
If using ps/2 make sure you are in the correct port (green).
              Make sure your mouse works.
Does the mouse work in safe mode?, if so run virus checks, check for any conflicts.
