    Help with Symantec

Hi just got a hard drive off fleabay, I've put it in my laptop and it's telling me it's protected by symantec. Is there a master login that I can use to use it? Any help would be greatly recieved.

It won't let me even start up windows. There's a screen that says protected by symantec encryption please enter login details, so if there's a master reset login sort of thing I can start using my laptop again.

OK so you installed the windows yourself?
Or did you just plug and play?

I would just reformat the drive and start again.

Nah just replaced my old internal hard drive, fired up the laptop thaen this screen pops up please enter login details, as I got it of fleabay I think the seller has taken it out of a work laptop and made himself some cash.. But I can't get past this screen without entering some login details.

Go into the bios. Set to boot from cd than insert Windows cd and just reinstall.

Unless you really want to get into it and see what lies beneath the HIren Boot CD has some cracking tools that will sort it out for you.
