You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Plz Help

Am trying to recover files from a old have drive i have.

I can access this hard drive but the folder with my files in, i cant get in to. i get this message.
"You don't currently have permission to access this folder"
Can anyone Help?

you need to take ownership of the folder have a check here How to take ownership of a file or a folder in Windows XP

there is also a little free program that will add the Take Ownership command to your (right click) context menu
google take ownership and select first link
