    win 7 on old laptop

got an old laptop (toshiba satellite a50),which is mainly used by the wife for facebook 1.70 mhz processor and 1.2 gig of ram which i am going to upgrade to 2 gig. am thinking of trying to run win 7 on this unit but no drivers are supplied or(available from toshiba website) according to compatibility scan from windows it reports i may have an issue with my current wireless network adapter. (intel(r) pro/wireless 220bg) has anyone tried this upgrade or is using it now,any help would be much appreciated.

You'll most likely have problems with video driver - which you won't be able to play videos / view image content, there maybe a modded driver that will work, but aero would be disabled, which i think you could live with.

Some driver problems can be resolved by using Vista drivers.

Worked on my brothers internal SD card reader.
