help with Lenovo please......

......my son has a Lenovo laptop, dont know the model at the moment, and it had a problem. his mate said 'i can fix that', now when you switch the machine on it just comes up with the message 'cannot find operating system'.

any and all help gratefuly accepted.
willing to pay if needed.

Sounds like boot operating file system were deleted/damaged or the hard drive is not getting recognized maybe.

What was the initially problem? and, what was the "fix" of your son mate?

as yet i do not know the original problem, sons on nights and in bed. as soon as i know i will post it.
his 'mate' however is a moron. a typical 'i can fix that' but knows ~~~~'all grade 1, time served, industrial idiot. and i wouldnt let him fix my abbacus. last time he 'fiixed' it he deleted most of the drivers.
